Ophthalmic Diagnostic Services
Our services include:
- Digital Biomicroscopy, for retinal diagnostics, development of glaucoma, and diabetic maculopathy and retinopathy;
- Manual and Automatic Tonometry: measurement of intraocular pressure;
- Pachymetry: measurement of corneal thickness;
- Biometry: measurement of the eyes’ axial length and estimate of the intraocular lens;
- Ocular Ultrasound: a non-invasive diagnostic procedure;
- Auto Refractometry of the subjective and objective refraction to measure the visual defect and to improve optical correction prescription;
- Computerized Visual Field Test: an important parameter for the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma and neuro-ophthalmic pathologies;
- Corneal Topography: measurement of the corneal curvature, an important test that analyses astigmatism and provides Keratoconus screening;
- Wavefront Analysis: the study of aberrometry, which allows us to improve the Patient’s eyesight;
- Endothelial Microscopy: the study of the endothelium, the innermost cells of the cornea;
- Orthoptic Analysis through coordinometry: the evaluation of fusional vergence, neuro-ophthalmic analysis and screening for learning disabilities;
- Digital Retinography, the photographic image at the back of the inside of the eye;
- Computerized Optical Tomography (OCT): digital scanning of the central retinal layers (macula) and the head of the optic nerve (papilla), essential for the evaluation and the treatment of maculopathy, diabetes and other serious retinal pathologies;
- Glaucoma Diagnosis (GDX);
- Chromatic Tests (Isihara Test, Farnsworth Test) to evaluate color blindness that may or may not be induced by pharmacological therapies.
